My name is Maxine Nguyen.  Firstly, I am a board-certified (by NCBTMB), Maryland-licensed massage therapist (LMT), trained in both Western and Eastern bodywork modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Pre/Postnatal Massage, Traditional Thai Massage, Shiatsu and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT).  Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), also known by the “Vodder” method, is currently the gold standard therapy for relieving and managing symptoms of lymphedema, an incurable condition that resulted from the malfunctioning of the lymphatic system due to trauma or disease.  I incorporate elements of any or all my training into an integrative massage customized to fit a client’s medical condition.  Secondly, I am a Maryland-licensed esthetician, offering skincare consultations, facials, peels, waxing, and make-up application services.  Thirdly, I am a Maryland-licensed hair professional who can provide beauty services including hair and make-up services to men, women, and children.  See my service menus to learn more.

My background is in public and corporate accounting and finance, and information systems implementation and consulting.  However, my first love is with the beauty, health, and wellness industry that aims to enhance a person’s self-esteem so they can live a happier and healthier life.
